I am Shafiq. M. Abdul Majeed, the founder of Easy Quran Online School. I am thrilled to share with you our initial ambitious goal of equipping 50,000 Muslims with the knowledge of the Quran.

Did you know that according to the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (U.M.S.C), Muslims make up 20% of the 45 million Ugandans? That is around nine million Muslims in the region. This presents a substantial portion of the population that could benefit greatly from studying the Quran and other fundamental Islamic subjects such as fiqh, dua, hadith, and more. However, financial difficulties continue to serve as a hindrance.

We have faith in the potential of technology to transform education, and we believe that smartphones are a particularly valuable resource in this regard. By providing online access to our Quran School, we enable learners to study at their own pace without disrupting their work commitments.

In addition to our belief in the transformative power of technology and the convenience it provides to learners, we also prioritize inclusivity at our Online Quran School. We recognize that not everyone may have access to a smartphone or be comfortable using one, and so we have made provisions for direct calls to ensure that everyone can participate in our lessons, regardless of their device or technological proficiency. This way, we can provide equal opportunities for all students to learn and benefit from our program.

At our Quran school, we charge between UGX 25,000 to UGX 45,000 ($6 to $12) for our courses to facilitate our activities. This pricing structure is significantly lower than what traditional Quran centers typically charge, making our program accessible for most people. We believe that everyone should have access to Islamic studies regardless of their financial situation, so we strive to keep our fees as affordable as possible.

However, we understand that some students may still struggle to pay this fee, and so we accept donations from those who want to help us reach our initial goal of educating 50,000 Muslims with Quranic and Islamic knowledge.
